Classic Equine Carol Goostree CG Shank Barrel Bit with Thick Bar Chain, 5.5-inch. The CG bit is one of the first bits Carol Goosetree designed. She developed this bit especially for her champion mount "Dobre", in the late seventies. The chain snaffle mouthpiece and short gag action makes this bit soft and forgiving in a horse's mouth. Horses tend to feel comfortable in this bit and show a lot of response without overreacting. It helps add control in the turns, and support and correct an overly bendy horse. The CGs weighted shanks add more feel and help encourage a proper headset.
